Introduction to Arduino

Course Information

description

This is an introductory course to the world of robotics with Arduino –  an open source platform consisting of a programmable circuit board (microcontroller) used in conjunction with software to write and upload code.  In this lesson, participants will explore electronics and graphic-based computer programming to complete an electronics project.

course objectives

The objective of this course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate and build simple projects with sensors and outputs on their own.

schedule

Day 1: 3 hours

Hands on with Arduino
Understanding the basics of circuits
Time-based functions and serial communication
Digital and analog inputs on Arduino (potentiometers, buttons, joystick module, fotoresistors)

Day 2: 3 hours

Learning about outputs
Passive and active buzzers
Programming different types of motors
LCD Screen module
Making a final project

COST

Member $100 / Non-member $110
