EcoStudio’s ‘Jewelry 101: Level 1’ is part of a three-part introductory series to the art of jewelry making.
Students will complete a piece of jewelry in Level 1.
course objectives
Participants will develop their understanding of the following concepts:
Basic jewelry tools and safety equipment
Sawing, hammering, drilling and polishing techniques

Day 1, Wednesday November 14:
By crafting a leaf pendant or keychain, students will learn basic jewelry layout techniques, including: sawing and proper use of hand files
Day 2, Wednesday November 21:
Students will learn the basics of silver soldering by creating a ring. In the process, they will learn how to use the flexible shaft machine for drilling, polishing and finishing
Day 3, Wednesday November 28:
Students will create a customized bracelet combining skills learned in the first two sessions, including hammering, soldering, polishing and finishing to create a more complex piece of jewelry.

Please note that open-toed shoes are not allowed at EcoStudio.
Participants must provide a copy of their insurance policy prior to commencing course.
PARTICIPANTS MUST PRINT AND SIGN FAB LAB ECOSTUDIO WAIVER PRIOR TO COMMENCING COURSE. WAIVER IS SENT TO PARTICIPANT UPON REGISTRATION FOR COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Cancellation policy
EcoStudio reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course at any time, including but not limited to, lack of participation, classroom, equipment or trainer availability.
If full payment is not received three days prior to course commencement EcoStudio reserves the right to relinquish participant’s reservation.
Cancellations received less than 5 business days prior to course commencement will only receive credit towards a future course.
Cancellations received 3 days prior to course commencement will only be reimbursed 50% of the course fee.
No-shows will be invoiced the full course fee.
